St Augustine Tonge Moor

The Rosary is a sequence of prayers that help us meditate on the mysteries of Jesus' life. The prayers are performed on a string of beads used to count each prayer. When saying the Rosary as part of a group which is being led by someone else, a set of rosary beads is useful, but not essential.

This video shows you how to make your own rosary from a length of cord. A more simple rosary could be made by using single knots: the important thing is to ensure you can feel the knots, and that they are spaced as shown here.

The prayers which are used when saying the Rosary can be found here.
