Snow Fairies
We are grateful to the small but keen group who clear the paths in the grounds of both St Augstine's and St Aidan's when there has been a snowfall.
The paths at St Augustine's are now largely SuDS - a Sustainable Drainage System, which allows the water to permeate the tarmac and drain into the ground, rather than into the drains. To keep the pores of the tarmac open, only salt must be used to deal with snow and ice: salt-and-sand must NEVER be used.
