The Institution of the Eucharist, including the ceremony of Footwashing. At the end of Mass, the altars will be stripped, recalling the desolation of Jesus as he was deserted by his friends, continuing into the weekend and reflecting the desolation of creation as its Creator is subject to the pangs of human death.
This service begins the celebration of the Triduum ("Three Days").
Followed by the Watch
21:00Watch before the Blessed Sacrament
"Could you not stay awake with me one hour?" Sit in the Garden of Gethsemane with Our Lord, present in the Blessed Sacrament.
The Watch will end at midnight with the Office of Compline, when the Garden will be stripped.
Friday 30th March 2018 Good Friday
10:30Good Friday Liturgy
The Passion Gospel of St John is sung and communion is received under one kind: in accordance with the Mass is not celebrated today.
This solemn service continues the celebration of the Triduum.
Saturday 31st March 2018 Holy Saturday
20:30Solemn Easter Liturgy
The pre-eminent service of the Christian Year, in which the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is celebrated.

The service begins with the Service of Light, during which the new Easter Candle is blessed and lit outside the church doors. As the congregation files into church, the light from their candles spreads throughout the building. God's plan of Salvation as depicted in scripture is heard in darkness, until the Gloria is once again sung, and the lights are turned on and candles around the altar are lit.

The Renewal Baptismal Vows replaces the Creed.
